The Arina Tour Guide Book

The Shepherd, March 1983

Lanoo. The voice brought me out of a deep sleep. I opened my eyes and waited, feeling the spiritual power intensify in the atmosphere. An unearthly silence permeated the room. Suddenly, I woke up with the full realization that it was him. The Shepherd had returned. Anticipation flooded my being as it always did when he arrived, for he was an ancient one of great love and wisdom.

I sat up quickly, slid out of bed and placed my feet on the icy floors. A spring chill filled the old farmhouse. I wrapped myself in my bathrobe and put my slippers on to ward off the shivers that coursed through my body. Slowly, I edged my way through the darkness to the bedroom door, opening it carefully, not wanting to disturb my sleeping husband. I found the banister, and let my hand glide along the smooth wood as I crept quietly down the staircase to the empty rooms below. Entering the dining room, I turned the thermostat to 75 degrees and felt the room shake as the burner in the basement furnace thundered into action. The old copper pipes creaked as I switched on the lamp that sat on the table under the wall map.

I studied the map and remembered the time the Shepherd had pointed to the tip of the British Isles, transmitting the thought that the tiny islands formed a small portion of the seacoast of the once powerful and massive sixth province of Atlantis. But his purpose differed on this visit. He had come to show me the geographic dimensions of a small, mysterious country in America that I had learned about in 1979.

The inner voice came clearly once again. “Come Lanoo,” he said in a deep melodic tone. “Take up your pen. Earth is a fable about to change chapters and we must tell our story. You have already been given the dimensions of Atlas Land. Sweep now away to the west, far across the [lost] continent and over the sea. There, just beyond the waters on the undivided land, lies Arina, Kingdom of Arin. See, the Jewel of Ornetha is still glowing. I perceived her light far into the outer darkness of space. Indestructible are her resources for they came not from this material universe. From the eye of material man, Arina is now hidden but often as the moon hits upon the jewel, some eyes are opened and into that mind a never to be forgotten view will rest. Many now again walk these paths, Lanoo. Deep within they've been called as you have been. They return to joy. Come Lanoo, I will walk once more with you.”
